The Pennsylvania Association of Notaries (PAN) is a professional membership-based notary organization. We specialize in state-approved notary education and offer step-by-step guidance on how to become a notary or renew your notary commission in Pennsylvania.
Our staff is well-versed in Pennsylvania notary and motor vehicle laws. PAN's customer service representatives answer over 200 notary and motor vehicle questions each day from Pennsylvania notaries. It is our mission to provide continued support throughout our members' notary commissions.
As the nation's first notary association, PAN has its roots in a small Pittsburgh-based family-owned insurance agency, E. R. Munro and Company. In an effort to expand the business, company owners and brothers, Samuel and Earle Aronson began selling notary bonds in 1950. Four years later, Earle Aronson purchased some used notary stamp-making equipment and soon the company was producing and selling its own notary stamps and seals.
On January 4, 1955, a petition was filed in Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas requesting the approval of a non-profit corporation. A week later, the motion was granted and PAN was born.
We are now the leading provider of notary education in the Commonwealth and noted experts in motor vehicle titling paperwork.
PAN makes it easy to become a Pennsylvania notary. We guide you through the complicated appointment process and provide everything you need to fulfill your duties as a notary.
