PA Legislature Votes to End Disaster Declaration - Does This Change Anything?

by PAN

This week, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate voted to fully end Governor Wolf’s COVID-19 disaster declaration. The passing of this bill would allow state regulations that have been suspended or waived to be put back into effect. What does this mean for notaries?

The changes that occur from the passing of this bill will not be immediate. The Department of State has not yet received any notification that things will change for notaries at this time. The passing of this bill does not end the mask-wearing mandate and other regulations still in place currently. It could take weeks before we see any changes in our daily routines.

Once PAN receives notification from the Department of State on any changes for notaries, we will post an update on our blog and share it to social media.
