Exceptions to the Governor's Waivers
For any business that received a waiver from the governor’s office allowing that particular business to continue working during the coronavirus pandemic, there are exceptions to that waiver.
The waiver or exemption only relates to those activities that were specifically identified in the request received by the state. If part of the business includes the notary office that was not included in that waiver request, the notary cannot perform notarizations.
The governor ordered all non-life essential businesses closed on March 22 and a stay-at-home order was issued for the entire state on April 1. The Pennsylvania State Police are enforcing the governor’s stay-at-home and business closure mandates. So far, the state police has investigated 541 businesses and issued more than 200 warnings to businesses that have violated the coronavirus order.
