Important Updates from PennDOT: Bulletins 24-18 and 24-19
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has recently issued two bulletins, 24-18 and 24-19, which are essential for all agents and their employees involved in driver and vehicle services.
Forms MV-27A and MV-27B
Bulletin 24-18 serves as a timely reminder about the necessity of completing Forms MV-27A and MV-27B. These forms are required by law for vehicles acquired by dealers. To streamline the process, transactions for vehicle acquisitions can now be submitted online through the Dealer Agent Service portal.
Revised Form MV-556
Bulletin 24-19 discusses the revision of Form MV-556, titled “New Apportioned Account and Change of Address Requirements.” The new edition, dated 6-24, is now available on the PennDOT website. This updated form provides clearer instructions on the proof of residency and established place of business requirements for Pennsylvania apportioned account applicants. Apportioned TA Agents should begin using the new version of the form immediately.
