Time to Renew Dealer, Salesperson Licenses

by PAN
Motor vehicle dealer and salesperson licenses expire May 31 of every odd-numbered year. Renewal notices are mailed to the most recent employer address on file, two to three months prior to the license expiration date. Therefore, licensees should plan to renew their licenses online in March or April.

License renewals will be handled through the Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS).

About PALS

The Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS) is the Pennsylvania Department of State’s system of record for professional licensure. PALS handles license applications and renewals for a number of boards and commissions, including the State Board of Vehicle Dealers, Manufacturers and Salespersons. Individuals renewing their licenses for the first time in PALS should have received an E-mail or letter with instructions for accessing the system.
