Changes to PA Driver's Licenses and ID Cards

by PAN

PennDOT is making a non-binary gender designation option available on its driver's licenses and photo ID cards. The new designation option is now available.

The non-binary gender designation will appear on a driver's license or photo ID card as an "X," and is a third option for individuals who would prefer a non-binary designation.

Customers wishing to obtain the non-binary designation should fill out Form DL-32, "Request for Gender Change on Driver's License/Identification Card," and bring it to any Driver License Center. There is no fee to change the designation, but product replacement fees will apply for a duplicate driver's license or photo ID product.

More information about the non-binary gender designation is available on PennDOT's Driver and Vehicle Services website, www.dmv.pa.gov.
