The Department of State's Disciplinary Actions: April 2022

by PAN

The Bureau of Election Services and Notaries took one disciplinary action against notaries public in April 2022:

  • A Cumberland County notary lacked the competence or reliability to act as a notary public by failing to ensure that two individuals appearing before him were who they purported to be when notarizing their purported signatures and failed to deliver his notary journal to the Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds when his notary commission expired.
    • This notary permanently and voluntarily surrendered his notary commission.
