Center City Notary Co-Authors Book
Judith Lawrence is a busy woman. Not only does she own Philadelphia's first 24-hour notary service, she has also co-authored a book.
The book, "Make Your Business Our Business: An Interactive, Step-by-Step Guide to Policies, Procedures, Profits," focuses on starting and operating a successful notary business.
"It is a step-by-step guide for anyone who wants to become an entrepreneur," said Judith. "The book moves from what questions to ask an accountant, what equipment you might need, and more."
Other topics include financial planning for notary entrepreneurs, writing a business plan, should I be a sole proprietor, LLC or incorporated, and how to notarize documents in prisons.
Her co-author, Daniel C. Lewis, is the current president of the Indiana Notary Association and managing partner of Lewis Notary Service, Inc.
"If a person wants to open a knit shop, this book will be the guiding force," Judith added. "I looked at this from a business/administrative perspective. Daniel, who is a licensed financial advisor, brought his keen sense of business to the table. We both learned the value of paying meticulous attention to detail, the importance of due diligence and good old hard work."
"Make Your Buiness Our Business" is available on Amazon. The Kindle edition retails for $12.99 and the paperback version is $26.95.
