All PA Notaries Need Education

by PAN

Just a reminder for all Pennsylvania notaries:  Three hours of state-approved notary education is required for first-time and renewing notaries. There is no longer a grandfather clause for notaries who were commissioned on July 1, 2003. The Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts (RULONA) eliminated the grandfather clause as of October 26, 2017.

All first-time notaries must successfully complete the Pearson VUE notary exam. Renewing notaries who have a lapse in their commissions must also take the notary exam.
