Secure POA Form Gets a Makeover

by PAN
The familiar, five-part Secure Power of Attorney form, used by dealers to sell a vehicle when the title is not present, has been slimmed down to just two parts, a green copy and an orange copy.

The procedure for filling out the form has not changed. Who gets which copy depends on the sale of the vehicle. Since the new form has only two copies, dealers will need to make photocopies of the completed form for the seller and the buyer.

Dealers can use the SPOA forms they have until supplies run out. The Pennsylvania Automotive Association (PAA) began selling the new SPOA in November 2018. Packs of 100 forms are $45 including shipping and tax. Contact the PAA’s Dealer Purchasing Service online at www.paadps.com, or call 1-800-692-7295.
